I directed this promo for HLN through longtime collaborators PILOT NYC – a group of amazing individuals who care. Michaela came to fame as a Los Angeles newscaster/host, then was awarded her own show on HLN ; thus the promo. Michaela is one of those very rare people who radiate energy, and in her case, super powers of positivity. For this promo, PILOT NYC created a “California Soul” concept, so we shot Michaela driving through Santa Monica, CA, in a classic GTO convertible, ending up at the beach for sundown. It was a magical day and the sun graced us with its presence for the golden-hour final shot.
